The clock includes a classic dial design with black minute markers and easy-to-read numbers against a white face. To specify the time, black clock hands point to the best hour and minute even as a red clock hand ticks off seconds. The hour and minute hands and the hour marker dots take pleasure in luminous centers, glowing faintly for middle of the night viewing. An additional hand indicates the set alarm time. For setting the time and alarm, knobs are provided at the back of the clock face; a switch turns the alarm off and on. The clock requires the separate purchase of 1 AA battery.
